Miss Gracie

We picked Gracie up yesterday, our new foster, what a sweet girl. She is 7 yrs old and came into rescue with her littermate Riley, who is staying at another foster home.

She is very laid back and very sweet. A true lapdog, and barely 40lbs. She loves to follow my Riley around, and Jasmine tags behind. They make a great little pack.

She has an excellent recall and stays close. But other than that doesn't know many commands - yet.

Crazy Puppies

Wow, these two are fast! They made me dizzy as I watched them running around the yard the other night, endlessly for about an hour.

Miss Gracie, our new foster, will be arriving on Saturday. I'm hoping she will play with these two. Norman didn't really know how to play with them. She's 7 years old, liver and white, being surrendered with her sister Riley because the "kids have other interests now." Riight.

We picked up Norman's ashes yesterday. It felt great to bring him home and I felt content finally. But it broke my heart all over again. There's a little end table set up in the living room for Norman. His ashes are there, with some pictures, a poem, the card ESRA sent me, and his candle. I'd like to put his collar there, but it seems to make the pit in my stomach hurt when I look at it. But anyway, I'm glad he's home now. I sure do miss that boy.

Haircuts!

Riley and Jasmine both got groomed finally. She was looking like a ragamuffin. And Riley, well we know Riley. His coat is wild! They just love going to the groomer, she doesn't use cages so they get to play with eachother. When I went to pick Jasmine up she was just laying there with that "look at me, I'm gorgeous" look on her face. She had a blast playing with a border collie that was there. And Riley just hung out in the waiting room with the secretary. What a love bug.
